At Tahona Mezcal Talks, we host Nuestra Soledad mezcal. Made by six generations of the Cortes family whose roots in Oaxaca go all the way back to 1840.
We will learn more about their cultivated line of espadins from different villages around Oaxaca.
It is through tasting each that we will learn more about the terrior and how each creates its own distinct flavors and aromas.
There will be a happy hour cocktail special from 5-7 PM showcasing Agave de Cortes mezcal.

Coming all the way from Guadalajara, he will guide us through the story behind Casta Tribal and the different expressions they created, including a preview of some of their newest blend!

Join us for our another magical Baja Mezcal Tour: this trip will introduce you to some of the best of Baja!
During our tour, you will sample dishes in one of Tijuana’s best culinary spots, discover a secret park overlooking the ocean and end your day watching sunset at one of the best bars in the world!
Throughout the day you will get to sample 3 different brands of mezcal and you will learn everything about this amazing spirit.Only 10 spots available. So book yours before it sells out!
– Departure and return: we will depart from a central location in San Diego in an air conditioned van at 10 am.- Our first stop will be a fantastic food experience in Tijuana. You’ll get to sample some of the best tacos and creative dishes in the region, while accompanying them with our first mezcal sampling.
– Our second stop is at a secret park overlooking the ocean near Tijuana’s beachfront neighborhood Playas. At this stop you will learn about the process to produce mezcal and what makes this spirit so unique.
– Our third stop is at one of Baja’s best kept secret: a luxurious development that is poised to become Baja best community. After a private tour of the project, we will head to their outstanding bar that has received accolades from the likes of Sunset, Food & Travel, Vogue and many more magazines. We will end the day with another mezcal sampling and share with you a couple of legends that relate to mezcal!
– We will head back to San Diego right after the sunset and cross the border. Expected return to be between 7 and 8 pm.
This is a fundraiser for Corazon de Vida foundation in support of the disenfranchised children of Baja!
Your ticket price will include participation in a Loteria game night with prizes for the winners throughout the night!
We’ll host some mezcal tastings for everyone and some appetizers will be provided.
A special Taco Tuesday menu will also be available for purchase.
About Corazon de Vida: CDV is a for-purpose organization providing life changing support for orphaned and abandoned children in Baja, Mexico for the last 25 years. Their mission is to end child abandonment by breaking the vicious cycle of poverty.
