An hour long meditation and mezcal tasting class taught in a beautiful setting by our maestro mezcalier and a fantastic mindfulness teacher hosted by Amaras Mezcal, one of the leaders in sustainability of mezcal, planting over 80,000 agaves last year.
Throughout the experience we will practice gratitude by thinking of everything that went into bringing that spirit to us—the rain and sun that helped the agave plant grow, the jimador who had to find the plants in the wild and harvest them under the pressing sun, the love and care that went into the whole artisanal production process, and the traditions that were passed on from generation to generation.
Reserve your seat.
Join us for a special Thanksgiving Baja Mezcal Tour, an opportunity to give back!
During our tour, we’ll visit Rancho de los Ninos orphanage, one of the Corazon de Vida supported orphanages, located in the center of Valle de Guadalupe. We will spend a few hours playing and doing crafts with the kids and helping serve lunch.
After our visit to the orphanage, we will visit a local winery where we will host a mezcal tasting. We’ll finish the day with an early dinner at one of Valle’s best restaurants and head back to San Diego.
Part of the proceeds from this trip will be a cash donation to the orphanage and we are sponsoring lunch & craft for the kids as well.
Starts the day at 9am from Tahona and back by 9pm.
Make sure to book your seat!

Prohibition in the United States was a nationwide constitutional ban on the production, importation, transportation, and sale of alcoholic beverages from 1920 to 1933. During that period, Tequila became a popular smuggling drink throughout the southern states and eventually throughout the entire country!
Repeal Day was December 5th, 1933. This was the day that Prohibition, otherwise known as the great experiment, ended and America was free to consume alcohol once again!
We want to make this a day that people recognize and appreciate by hosting an 1920s cocktail party! We take our inspiration from the cocktails that were lost to… the great music that came out of… the iconic clothing worn during… and the mixed bar culture that resulted from… Prohibition.
So put on your roaring twenties outfit, gather your gents and join us for a fun evening with music, special cocktails and delicious food. Our speakeasy, Oculto 477, will be open for walk-ins that evening only!!
Dinner reservations through our website: tahonabar.com, highly recommended.
